Salads & Wraps, Icon Village

Before our transition towards frequenting Salad Stop, S&W at Tanjong Pagar was our regular source of all things salads and wraps. It's quite a tiny shop, with only enough seats for four at the bar, but lots of people come here for takeaways anyway.

As with most salad places, you have the choice of making your own or choosing from a pre-selected range. I decided to have the tuna pesto wrap - the pesto dressing is the best I've had so far. None of that creamy, mayo-infused nonsense - this is straight up, home made olive-oil-and-basil goodness. It just goes soo well with tuna (actually, any seafood and white meat in general). The wrap itself is quite substantial. YUM.

Mine was the Tropical Chicken with mango chutney - the sauce was tropical alright! The sweetness of the mango coupled with the generous amounts of thick grilled chicken slices was amazing. Also packed in that tortilla were peppers, onions, cucumber, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. Ingredients were fresh, synergy is great, and the wrap was well packed!

Oh and yeah this place is 30-40% cheaper than Salad Stop! They also have a branch ~somewhat~ near Raffles Place (Cecil Street) but that damn place closes at 6pm. Learnt that the hard way.
